Know Malaysia

Well hello there folks. ‘Selamat Datang ke Malaysia’ which signifies, ‘Welcome to Malaysia’ in our national language Bahasa Malaysia. It is impossible to tell you about  Malaysia in general in such a little time, but  I will give you a brief about this beautiful country in a better way.

One of the most attractive things about this country is its civilization and people. Being multi-lingual, multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society of about half the acute degree million is no easy feat. The Malaysia population is divided into different communities. One of the largest community is The Malays and are defined as the Muslims of Malaysia. They dominate the political scene. Their native language is Malay which is the  national language of the country.  They are also called as ‘bumiputra’ and are favored with certain policies related to affirmative actions. Then, the second biggest section includes ‘Chinese’. They are Christians, Buddhists or Taoists. The community speaks various Chinese patios including Teochew, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hakka and Hokkien. But today, many of them speak only English. So the Chinese dominate the business scene and Malays dominate the political scene. The third biggest are the Indians, mainly from the south whose native language is Tamil. Other Indians speak Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam or even English who belongs to upper middle class. So this is worth understanding of religion, native language and different communities.

The Malaysian trade in spice and is the  largest producer of tin, rubber and palm oil. It is also the world’s largest Islamic financial and banking center.  Malaysia has an efficient widespread system of health care. It provides all government and private services.If you are a tourist you should keep few things in mind, while introducing yourself to any Malay try to extend both your hands. If you are lost in the big city take help of the police officer.  The weather there rarely changes except the monsoon season. It’s either hot with or hot without rain. Due to climate, light clothing is preferred. It is 8 hours ahead of GMT so set your watches accordingly.
